InterConnect 2015 in Review

InterConnect 2015 was a phenomenal event to attend and sponsor. This newly created event combined legacy IBM events Impact, Innovate and Pulse into one giant IBM technology conference attracting 25,000 people spanning 2 hotels in Las Vegas. With content focused on cloud and mobile it was the perfect opportunity for us to learn about the latest technologies and showcase our latest client case studies. We were privileged to have 9 speaking sessions to present our work and were excited to be singled out in many other noteworthy sessions.

Stephanie Trunzo, COO, kicked off the Business Partner Summit General Session with an inspirational message about PointSource and our pivot to mobile in 2012. She stressed the importance of continually assessing the market needs and gracefully flexing both operationally and organizationally to deliver mobile solutions that truly transform the way business is conducted.

Our client Tom Pierce, Systems Architect Vice President at Comdata, presented the mobile keynote as part of opening day. Tom described how we studied the user first to create an intuitive app combining several data sources allowing drivers to make better fuel purchasing decisions; resulting in reduced costs and increased routing efficiency.

General Session Day Three featured Stephanie Trunzo and Barry Pellas, Executive Software Architect, who presented the app built to enable Primerica’s sales force. Onboarding and keeping reps engaged in the first 90 days is critical to Primerica’s success. The app utilizes gamefication concepts awarding points to reps for downloading the app, passing exams and attending sales calls. Watch the Primerica presentation starting at 1:16:

Aaron Shook, Executive Software Architect, discussed mobile strategy in an interview with theCube’s John Furrier and Dave Vellante. Aaron described how we deliver complete mobile solutions, highlighted some of our client work and fielded questions around cloud, scalability and responsive design.

PointSource was also featured in the InterConnect issue of Insights Magazine. In a Q & A Stephanie Trunzo described how to create unique experiences and make mobile matter.

The PointSource booth was a retreat where visitors could sketch wire frames and white board new ideas. The booth also featured a giant 6ft phone which served as the perfect backdrop for selfies using the PointSource selfie stick.
